devastation

this is the way it looks a place that has been devastated just to make a road... El Espino was the lung of my city, and still is, but every year, they are building roads and homes and such things, and they don't care about how important this place is to our subsistence.... and the worst thing that it is not only here... why people is not aware of the importance of the veins of life that pass through our nature?!?!.... :(

Lately i have been working on a project about international volunteers in my country, i have realized about so many things, i really admire these people that come from a totally different environment and lifestyle and come with all the good will to help, to challenge themselves in all matters because of the fact that you are not used to that kind of experiences, you must have really an open mind for it, plus you can also find new friends, share, cultural exchange, learn new things and really live LIFE!!! doing something important to make this world better and their own world... i think it is really wonderful and a model to follow, maybe not everybody is able to do it this way, but you have the chance to do something good for others and that could be a really satisfying experience. i have learnt so many stuffs from them, and i am truly grateful! :) thank you so much!! Lately i went to a botanical garden, there was this butterfly in the floor, pretty nice contrast between the little stones, organic material and the beautiful wings of the butterfly! :)

Well, it's been a long time since my last post, as usual :p well, what happened? i have been working plus my camera passed away and i needed to buy a new one :) today i was looking some of my pictures and i found these little serie from a trip to the beach, there were cicada's cover everywhere!!!!!!, in the trees, in the bungallows, in the walls, everywhere!!!!!!!!! every single place!!! these insects come over the ground after 17 years inside the earth, they have their own bioclock!! the song of the cicadas is very proper of Holy week season around march and april at my country. The hottiest months during the whole year.

rainy days are getting to the end...

Well, or long rainy season is getting to the end, october will be the transition month to summer, i really love the 3 last months of the year, weather is really wonderful, very nice, not rains, you can go wherever you want :) and of course the city gets really colourful for the holidays... yeah, i really love these months!! what about you? :)

Hello everybody once again!!!!!!!!! it's been quite a long time since i last added something, i have to be honest, i was very busy at first, then simply became lazy and i lost motivation, though, and finally forgot even my username!! hehehehe :D anyway, never is too late to do something, the bad thing is not to continue never, though. So this time i'm adding the Atitlan's lake view, it's quite misty but still it's really a calming view, some days in life are this way, misty or you have many things to do that everything seems to be confusing or maybe just shadows, but you always have the faith that the sun will come out shining and you will feel really happy!! so my inspiration is back!! :) cheers everybody!!!

Well, i am back again!, i have rested a lot, chill out, i was too lazy to do almost anything!! :D but now i feel with more energy and i will start adding something new every day!! i need to visit all your blogs!! i'm really delayed with them, i'm pretty sure i missed a lot!!! Well, i want to change subject, for the last things i have been posting, and now i want to add something different, it's always good to change environment from time to time!! after all, the concept for this blog is to catch all kind of things in our daily living but those moments or expressions that worth, i'll try the best i can to continue in the way of this concept and what worth most for me, is to share everything of this view with you!! best regards to everyone!! and thank you!!

i'm addicted to computer!!

Hello again!! wow, it's been a while.... but fortunately now i am FREE!!!! ALLRIGHT!!! starting my vacations!!! so i will start to look in each blog, cause, i know i missed a lot of great work!!! today i'm posting to Rocco, he's not with us anymore.... he was my midnight fella!!! he always joined me while i was working (snif - snif!) .... but he's not dead, we just had to search for a new owner, as we have 2 more dogs, and the others didn't like him cause Rocco was always bothering them... of course playing, but you can imagine in a future 3 dogs, and if they fight ..... well.... as you can see he was also addicted to computer!!!

Well, it's been a little while.... i won't be posting this week, as i'm on my final exams week of this semester, but i'll try to visit your blogs from time to time, cause that refresh my view, and make me smile in spite that i have a huge amount of things to do... we need some time to relax, right?

i don't know, what kind of specie is this kind of bug, however, i know that is dangerous, that "hair" work as spikes, and could burn your hand, his bright colour is a sign!! so watch out every time you want to get a nice flower from your garden! ;) these fellas were on the backward of a rose leaf.

this little fella, caught my attention today at my garden.... i don't know the name in english, even is the first time i see such kind of colour in this specie, we call them "chinche", and they have a bite that make that you get a high temperature.... so careful if you find one of this.... just caution...

Well, this time i'm posting the Calvario's church, located in Antigua Guatemala, it belongs to XVIII and inside there is a tree planted by the Hermano Pedro de Bethancourt on 1657, pleople thinks that its flowers has miracle reactions when you are sick... faith is strong!

Antigua Guatemala

Antigua is a lovely and colourful town, filled of history, every church, home, street reminds you the XVII and XVIII century! there are carriages everywhere, magnificent details, and beautiful perspectives, so from now on i will start posting about it!!.... sorry i haven't had time lately to go in every wonderful blog... i have been quite busy lately, and it seems it will last until the first days of june, i will finish my semester!! :) i'm waiting really anxious for vacations!!!

Panajachel's church (Guatemala)

Greetings everyone!!, i have been quite busy lately and i wasn't home during weekend, it was time to chill out (Finally!!! ;D), i went to Guatemala, visiting Panajachel and Antigua Guatemala! Here you can see the church of the town of Panajachel, this town is near by Atitlán's lake, surrounded by mountains and volcanos, as you know we are on rainy season so it was kind of cloudy and it rained in the evening.... however, i love this kind of places, wonderful landscapes, wonderful and very nice people, history everywhere!! I just didn't like some stuff i watched on Antigua, but i'll save this comment for a new post...

Miramundo hostal, is pretty nice place to chill out and enjoy the view of the nature and wonderful landscapes of the mountains, also its restaurant have some interesting stuffs to see, as these antiques, like the old iron (my greatgrandma used that kind of iron!!), a little stone sculpture, some cows' skulls, and an antique wheel, there were also the marimba that you already saw and a picture with our coin: colón, (nowadays we just use US$ and colón is just for collectors and museums....), also there were some colourful handicrafts and paintings :)

My Chepita!!

Well, now we are having the transition for rainy season (winter), i know it may sound kind of weird, but that's the way it is, we just have 2 seasons during the year, anyway, when rainy season comes, then my Chepita goes out!! :D she is quite funny turtle as she like dogs food and meat!! also she understands her name and follow you!! she has 16 years with us, she was a baby turtle when she came, i love her eyes and i thought to take her today a photo!! she is so cute right?? ;D

now, i'll start my blog-surf!! visiting my favorites finally!!! :D well, today i'm posting a doble photo of a particular flower, it's quite interesting how the flash light makes a big difference in colour, i like both shots, that's why i'm posting the two of them, but i like the high contrast on the first one, the bright colour, but the other one has more details on the petals... what's your opinion about it? i really learn a lot with you guys!! thank you!!!! :D i don't have yet the photography knowledge, besides my camera is quite simple, but i love photography!!! and i love to share them!!! your comments make me happy and i really appreciate them!!

Well, today i wanted to post a serie of children expressions, i took these photos at Sumpul's river, at the north part of my country, in the surroundings you can see high poorness little towns too. These children help their parents to sell the result of hard work at the plantations, but still they always dedicate some time to play, with such simply games, that makes them really happy, it's so lovely to see them laughing and playing nearby the river, they always gave visitors some gifts, as little colourful rocks, fruits, "bellotas", cabagges... innocent and lovely children!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! :D well, this time i'm posting some refreshing coconuts!!! every time you go to the beach or even on city in a very sunny and warm day, then take the coconut water is so refreshing and you have such that nice sensation as you were relaxing and having fun at the beach!!! also you can enjoy the soft and white food of it!!! Drink and food at the same time!!! ohhh, yeah, i love coconuts!!!

Most of the prehispanic cultures, and specially mayan, had the ball's game field, it was a worship game, some of them related to fertility and others to wars, they usually played with their hips, and unfortunately there were sacrifices of one of the teams to their gods. This pictures are from Copán in Honduras, the second main mayan ceremonial center.
